>What is your current salary?
I don't like this question. I will consider opportunities offering compensation
over $xxxK, but the working and living environment will have a stronger influence
on my decision than the number of dollars.

most interested in?

One of my strengths is my ability to learn and understand
rapidly.
The computer field is changing rapidly and some experts say that
in five years the current technology is obsolete.
I started working full time with computers in 1973, using punched
cards, paper tape operating system, 16K ram, no disk, half-inch
magnetic tape. I have grown with the technology, learning most of
it by reading books and manuals, and working with the tools and
hardware. I have always had a strong interest in information
processing, information management, relational database theory
and practice. As you know, relational theory is based on
mathematics, and that is its great strength. I majored in
mathematics in college, and enjoyed it. I did very well in
mathematics, earning a gpa around 3.8 out of 4.0. Logic is an
automatic process for me. My creative ability is high. I can
become bored easily doing the same thing every day. I am very
interested in the internet and all related technologies,
including local area networking. I am very interested in
productivity tools, high-level languages, such as Powerbuilder,
Oracle Forms, Designer 2000. I am very interested in Operating
Systems, particularly, Unix and NT 4.0. I am very interested in
creating something of value to my customer. I believe that
Oracle8 is a great product and that Oracle Corp is in a very
strong position to lead the relational database field. I am very
interested in keeping up with Oracle's database products. I don't
know what name to give to this role or roles.
There are some gaps in my experience, which I am more than
willing and able to fill --
** programming, implementing, and testing real-time computer
systems
**Website Administrator with knowledge of CGI and Perl
**documenting local area network topologies

>
Integrity and honesty. Long term employment and growth. Good
management. Good working conditions. Competent staff. Good
community and living environment.
>
>What are your career objectives?
>
I think I covered this above. I will add that I am NOT looking to
go into management or sales. I love the technical side.
>
>What are you non-technical strengths? (communication
skills, working
>with others, etc)
>
Sometimes, I can write and speak an english sentence or two. I am
not long winded, usually, unless you ask me about something
technical and pretend that you are interested.
I appear very calm, cool and collected, even under fire. I never
raise my voice, (well, except once when my manager said in his
staff meeting that all database engines are the same).
I am fairly well trained in company protocols.
I am fairly perceptive with people's feelings.
I get along well with my partner, and most of my colleages.
>
>What areas need improvement?

I desire to be more assertive and learn better and smoother
negotiation skills.

>We will need 3 references.
>(I will only contact them once an offer is made and
accepted.)
>
>What will they say about you?
>
They will say great and wonderful things about me.
Patrick is a walking dictionary and very colorful in his language
and highly intelligent. I wish I has his verbal skill. I worked
with and for Patrick at Weyerhaeuser and AT&T Wireless. You
never know when your staff might become your manager later. Be
nice to your staff.
Gary is your competetor and speaks highly of your company. I was
his client when I worked at Weyerhaeuser. He placed me in the
consulting assignment at AT&T ten years later.
Mike is highly competent and humorous. He was my customer
(in-house) at Weyerhaeuser.
All three have very high standards of ethics, and will say the
same about me.
